TAKE IT OFF

The process:
Lasers use a beam of light to identify the ink in your tattoo. The ink absorbs the light, breaking it up into tiny particles. These particles are naturally absorbed into the body and discarded through the body's own cleansing process. With each treatment the ink gets lighter, until it is ultimately removed. Black and red are the easiest colors to be removed and thus come out faster.
How man treatments will I need?
The number of treatments depends on the size, location, depth, and color of your tattoo. Treatments can be done at your convenience, but cannot be performed any sooner than 4 weeks apart. Usually, the sessions take between 5 and 15 minutes depending on the size of your tattoo. Tattoos by professional tattoo artists usually require several treatments. Homemade tattoos average 1-3 treatments.
The Treatments:
The level of pain associated with the procedure is similar to the pain experienced when having the tattoo put on. Pain varies with each individuals own tolerance as well as the location of the tattoo.
A topical anesthetic is available.
After the Treatment:
Immediately after the treatment, your skin may appear white with pin-point bleeding. The area surrounding the tattoo may be red and swollen. This is normal and will disappear. Maximum results take 5 to 6 weeks.
Side Effects:
Occasionally, lightening of the skin around the treatment site may occur. Normal skin tone should return 6 to 12 months following treatment.
